Conditions: Sunny, warm and calm. Air temps hitting 80's

Species caught: Smallmouth Bass, Crappie 

Water temperatures touched 51 degrees, and the fish felt it. Crappie limits came easy around dusk. The trick right now is staying patient through the lulls and keeping your bait in the zone. The fish are there. 

A bass showed up, which was a welcome development. A solid smallmouth came to the boat on a crankbait, with a smaller one coming on a tube. The pike stayed out of the picture entirely, which felt like a minor victory. Spring is starting to show up in the fish's behavior. Good time to be on the water.
