'In the Boat'

August 16, 2026
August 16, 2026 - Navajo Lake
Water Temp: 76-82°F
Conditions: Sunny and calm with breeze strengthening into the afternoon, occasional monsoons in the PM.
Species caught: Smallmouth Bass, Largemouth Bass, Bluegill, Northern Pike, Catfish
Big fish continue to show up, and they are sunning extra shallow in the AM. I have also unlocked a jumbo pike bite. They don't always want to play, but you get a lot of chances. Topwater is still the go-to for pike and larger bass, especially in the morning.
I am getting reaction strikes with heavier baits as the sun gets higher. Minnow baits and other finesse baits continue to produce numbers.
